InterSpeech 2021 - video recordings and slides

INTERSPEECH is the world’s largest and most comprehensive conference on the science and technology of spoken language processing. INTERSPEECH conferences emphasize interdisciplinary approaches addressing all aspects of speech science and technology, ranging from basic theories to advanced applications.

The theme of INTERSPEECH 2021 held in Brno, Czechia, is Speech everywhere. Speech is also becoming an indispensable part of all AI systems and no longer considered an isolated block. We are seeing the emergence of larger systems that treat speech, vision, language, interfaces, external knowledge in an integrated way, and learn multi-modal embeddings, or otherwise jointly optimize performance. Speech everywhere also requires speech engineering to become more aware of the principles of human speech communication processes, and we therefore specifically encourage contributions in human speech processing.

In addition to regular oral and poster sessions, INTERSPEECH 2021 featured plenary talks by internationally renowned experts, tutorials, special sessions and challenges, show & tell sessions, and exhibits. A number of satellite events took place around INTERSPEECH 2021.

Odyssey 2020 - video recordings and slides

Odyssey 2020: The Speaker and Language Recognition Workshop was hosted by NEC Corporation and Tokyo Institute of Technology in Tokyo, Japan, on Nov 02-05, 2020. The workshop is an ISCA tutorial and research workshop held in cooperation with the ISCA Speaker and Language Characterization special interest group. The tutorial day further strengthened the Odyssey 2020 as an ISCA Tutorial and Research Workshop (ITRW).

The need for fast, efficient, accurate, and robust means of recognizing people and languages is of growing importance for commercial, forensic, and government applications. The aim of this workshop is to continue to foster interactions among researchers in speaker and language recognition as the successor of previous successful events held in Martigny (1994), Avignon (1998), Crete (2001), Toledo (2004), San Juan (2006), Stellenbosch (2008), Brno (2010), Singapore (2012), Joensuu (2014), Bilbao (2016) and Les Sables d’Olonne (2018).

Slidator.com - synchronized YouTube with SlideShare

It's quite common to find conference video recordings on YouTube and slides presentations hosted on SlideShare. Would it not be better to have both at the same place and synchronized? Slides quite often need spoken explanation. And how about getting explanation to a specific slide only? No problem if video and slides are synchronized.

The website Slidator.com is about getting any YouTube video easily synchronized with SlideShare. You only need to enter a YouTube video link and a SlideShare presentation link. After that, data is loaded and you can start synchronizing the video with slides. This is done by either dragging the boundaries of the selected slide or through key shortcuts.

When you finish the synchronization, you can download the XML containing timings for each slide. You can also immediately play the YouTube video with synchronized slides in the SuperLectures player. And embedding this player on any website is easy. So, give a try to Slidator!
